We love Spain. Having a great time, weather reasonable, though not warm enough to swim but still better than the snow we had just a few weeks ago.
Arriving in Barcelona very early from a early flight from Rome. Grabbed a day of sightseeing in Barcelona following the Steve "hendo" Henderson tour guide advice. Did Las Rambles, La Sigrada Familia, walked the Gaudi old town, popped up to Montserrat etc. We even stayed in Sitges on his advice. All my brothers advice was perfect EXCEPT FOR DONT EAT THE GARLIC PRAWN CASSEROLE. I got the shits bad - really bad. Had the sick spews, the runs, the growling stomach, the night shivers all night etc etc... The 6 hours drive from Forum vinegars to Benidorm was the longest drive of my life. Robyn was a great driver. Its been 2 days and I am still not perfect and I think I have lost all the weight I put on in Italy.
Visited Forum vinegars near tarragona. FANTASTIC! Such nice people, very open and very friendly. Again very inspirational as they export vinegar to 25 counties, and make about 400,000 bottles a year and they only started like 15 years ago. Today they have a very impressive facility, good equipment, some savvy marketing and about 800 barrels full on vinegar in a solero system.
Drove 7.5 hours from benidorm to Jerez today (Robyn drove most as I had to stop every hour or so for a "safety stop" as I am still not well. jerez is the ancestral home of Sherry vinegar and we have some great appointments over the next 3 days. There is also a tourist "vinegar trail" we are going to follow to see what vinegar tourism is like.
Next update from France probably. We will be home in 10 days and counting.

What a trip... hope you are taking lots of pics.... seeing you aren't driving much at the moment....
Belated advice... Don't eat prawns when you don't know where they came from... anytime... You have a huge challenge to write this up for the Fellows. Reading where you have been, seen and done... should make a great book...
Love from home Dr. Mum.
